Railway station Čáslav
The existing passenger building was built in 1867, has its historical value and preserves the specific style of railway architecture. It is located in the northern part of the town about 600 m from the centre. The facade of loose masonry is supplemented by plastered cornice and stone bosses in the jambs, lintels and plinth. On the side of the railway line and on the south side, the building is complemented by a covered porch for waiting passengers. The building consists of one basement, two floors above ground and an attic.
The design concept of the surrounding parterre respects the current requirements for the transport connection of the station building to the surrounding area. Only minor modifications to the surrounding areas are proposed. In the street frontage of the building, we propose to remove the wooden shed and redesign the entrance to the building as barrier-free. In the south-eastern part of the area we are placing bicycle boxes and covered parking spaces.
The interior of the building emphasises the preservation of the entire station hall. The necessary functional and technological facilities, associated administration, commercial space and a public toilet accessible from the platform are placed next to it. The second floor includes administration rooms, technology and a dormitory for employees. The existing flat in the attic will undergo only layout modifications to allow full use. The space in the basement will remain unchanged and will be supplemented by the technological facilities of the building.
